regulars of this blog would remember my views on IPL...and how i feel that it is dream merchant for many upcoming players coming from not so sound financial back ground...
you can safely add mashrafe mortaza to this never ending list...
that's whopping 1100% higher than his base price!!
amazing!!
in the process, he became the first bangladeshi player to be auctioned in ipl...no wonder there will be celebration in his home...he deserves every bit of it...
at the same time i was bit surprised that there were no takes of icc's top allrounder shakib...goes to show that apart from players and teams how 'seriously' franchisee too take these icc ratings...
though, i know one pakistani blogger who will feel as disappointed as maybe shakib himself...but i don't have any 'Q'lu...who is that blogger... :)

my tubelight still flashing NC! :|
Can you imagine how a B'desi would have looked at himself in the mirror the next day? Suddenly he would have taken himself more seriously...suddenly cricket is a game to be played with guts for glory...the dressing room appears an action zone rather than a stylebhai parlor...there will be more serious cricket now and Ashraful may just learn a thing or two from The Little Master...finally he may realize his potential after the experience.
i really hope so for BD cricket...
the potential is there no doubt bt some how they seem reluctant to take their game to next level as if there's something holding them back...may be IPL will do what years of playing international cricket dint for them...
mixing with proven players and knowing the trick of trade wont hurt them at all...
