at least from the odi scenario... the last rituals were performed at feroz shah kotla ground yesterday...
if the diminishing art of genuine spin bowling was not enough... the final nail in the coffin has been provided by innovative captains these days... they think playing a genuine spin bowler is the luxury they can ill afford in the age of monogoose bats...
only being a good spinner just won't serve these days... you should know how to use long handle too... basically the captains are looking more from you and hence they stuff their side with bowlers who can also provide them alternate skill... and in doing so they are ready to compromise even on the primary skill at times...
today's captain don't use genuine spinner as attacking option anymore... and somehow the idea of wickets too slows down the scoring rate in middle doesn't seem to justify selection in their eyes anymore...
the new age spin bowler is the one who bowls with less pace than a fast medium... who bowls with a short run up and quickly finish the over... there by he saves time and improves over rate... and in the process if he gets wicket then its a bonus... and of course he knows how to use long handle when needed to compensate...
that is why we see genuine spin bowlers like amit mishra and jon holland sit out on a surface everybody knows will assist this very breed... following this innovative thinking pattern...
naturally you will ask... so why they still select them in the squad then...?
good question... if someone knows the answer... i am all ears...
rip genuine spinner...

once i saw the feed... i thought it could be funny take on amy quitting blogging... coz anyways the blog was not updating of late...
now we know why... she is no more with us... she has been cruelly taken away from us at such a young age of 26!! saying it shocking will be an understatement...
her blog used to exhibit so much energy... i always used to wonder whether this could be the work of just one person... though i was not expecting that my doubts will be answered in this manner...
may your soul rest in peace amy... my condolences to your dear ones... may god give them enough strength to come to terms with this untimely loss...
RIP...PCB?

.

so that player was asif...
surprised? really?
he will be banned...forgiven...then...oh! just forget that...
i would fire every single official of PCB...
why? for asif...?
i sincerely believe that it was PCB who failed to place a thing called system...a system who has bite as well as understanding of what is going on now a days...
they failed to curb, educate and discipline 'greats' like akhtars...asifs...
they have let down all of us and specially pakistan's cricket loving people...to the point that pakistan cricket has become laughing stock now...
take back everything from them...
just eliminate them...cull them...
but don't let them do this to another player...will you?
