My son was mad about cricket and wanted to represent India in the World Cup. But our family's financial condition did not allow him to continue with the sport. Many times I told him to leave cricket and find some work.
I have no words to express my happiness. Ravi playing international cricket is a dream come true for all of us. We are praying that he will help his team win all the matches.

When I arrived in Abu Dhabi, I had nothing with me. I started playing in a B-Division Trophy but graduated to the A-Division, which is equal to the Ranji Trophy, after just one year. That’s when I caught the attention of the Emirates selectors and they encouraged me. Without Deepinder paaji, I would not have been here. He has given me a reason to live and realise my dream.
