though the state of personal affairs are not too different... but such is the state of this bored of odi series... that one could not keep up with one of the vital date of this blog...
sp turned three on october 20th, 2010...
i mean only a bored cricket crazy indian can miss the rare date like 20.10.2010 that too if it happense to be his blog's birthday... and shares his blog's birthday with the player one adores absolutely... virender sehwag... the jatman...
though hardly a surprise considering i once set up a bored meeting on the same date of my marriage anniversary!
a lot has remained constant in three years like my diffident self but one thing changed recently at sp which deserves a special mention... step in friend anil bisht of cricketUA fame... he gifted me such a beautiful header that now it has become the identity of sp...
thank you anil... without you i would have remained locked in the compulsive header changing mode till i burn myself with that insatiable itch...
and how can i go back to the waiting boredom before thanking you guys... the oxygen for sp...
so thank you for the continued support... without which the boredom of doing soliloquy with impulsive spurts of rants on cricket would have definitely killed me by now...

a lot has been said about sachin... he has been praised... dissected from every possible angle... writing anything (new) about sachin, the player, is like showing light to the sun...
cliché isn't it...? this is what sachin to me is...
so today on his 37th birthday... and more importantly... his 20th birthday as an international player... i wish sachin loses his cricketing virginity...
i wish the chastity he has been religiously protecting shall melt away and we shall see the real sachin ramesh tendulkar...
the one who has faced and passed 20 years of intense scrutiny... the one who would really have opinions instead of cliché he has been feeding us ever since... the one who, by his sheer authority, can make things happen... the one who would say what is in his heart... khull ke... the one who would come up and say "yeah... if i got a nice shot to keep orange cap then why not...?"
so sachin... give us a birthday to remember... let the real transition begin...

yes today is straight points 2nd birthday... no the new look is just the pretext of my insatiable itch to keep changing skin... so never mind...
blogsphere too is like cricket where mortals exists in the company of legends... so do sp... in spite of my struggle to complete even a sentence without an error in it... but thanks to you who overcome all these errors and still succeed in finding some 'straight points' on cricketing matters... its really a commendable effort... specially coming here after reading so many polished blog on cricket... its nothing but 'cultural' shock...
i started this blog with the encouragement and support from homer, ottayan and soulberry with an open mind and now after two years of blogging the mind has become so open that it has fallen apart... so though sp has turned two... i don't think, apart from the skins at sp, anything will change... either here or at BCC! where i blog too... gaurav of naked cricket and sometimes anil bisht of cricket ua (only non professional cricket cartoonist that i know) will keep on silently pointing mistakes... so whenever you feel... ah! at last here's one sentence from sp in which there isn't any error... you know whom to blaim...
sincere and heart felt thanks to you for the continued support in spite of my diffidencies... with the hope that you will continue to do so with your insightful inputs... comments... and observations...

it has just struck to me that i unknowingly started blogging on the day when viru the jatman was born... my favorite player! so i share my blog birthday with the birthday of jatman... what a coincidence!

it all stared with an honest question...what is cricket to you...?
the answer of which is still not found in finality even after a year is completed...and i hope and wish that we will keep looking for honest answers for many years to come...
it has been one hell of a roller coaster ride...where else you will explore the variety of debates... insights... rants... humor and sometimes all in the form of bored toons... on one platform...one game we all love... we all follow passionately... cricket...
so although BCC! have signed 'whereabouts' clause...but bored members will be defying it for a day...they all will be breaking the barriers of geographical boundaries and will be meeting virtually at bored to celebrate the happy bored day today!
