the 'bow' is back...

...and so is robin uthappa...

this is what i wrote about him and his trademark 'bow' earlier... but he seems to have worked out how he wants to approach the game... the difference in his approach is visible... now he seems to wait for the hittable ball rather than manufacturing it... consciously playing shots in front of wickets rather than looking to dab the ball at square or third man... his age old nemesis... and more importantly not getting carried away by hitting boundaries and taking singles after hitting it to keep himself in check...

no wonder things have started to fall in place for uthappa with good results in champions league so far... and if he can carry his form further... he will present an irresistible claim for the selection in t20 team india at least...

robin uthappa is the kind of floater we are missing in t20 games... though he can play at any position... i would like to see him open the innings with sehwag in shortest form of game... so mine lineup will be...

sehwag, uthappa, gambhir, raina, yuvraj, dhoni, bhajji, mishra, praveen kumar, zaheer and ishant with karthik, rohit sharma, sreesanth and munaf, in reserves making the bench as good as first eleven thereby no passengers in the team... atleast in t20...

robin utthapa is one of those players in the indian side, which the board needs to take care of!

of course, they are no kids, but a certain level of maturity has been missing in these guys!

ankit... i think you have come here straight after reading ratnakar shetty's comments... ;-)

jokes apart... times is changing and so is the meaning and understanding of maturity... if you were asked to take two rounds of ground to play a ball in air... now caoches applaud you and encourage you to go for it and with this will come obvious risks... isn't it...?

as far as we know who are horses for courses... i am ok with it...

lol, SP, actually that was true, and i was meaning to write a post on that!

but what i meant was something different then him!

when i say maturity, i do not mean being a wall, what i mean is that with maturity comes the understanding that the team lies before you, and that feeling needs to be encouraged!

that is the difference between robin of today and before i think!

indeed ankit... they will have to understand the difference between going for personal glory or for team's goal... coz anyway they won't be able to do anything 'personally' if they are not in a team... :)
