shoaib akhtar's international career is over... finally...

shared by straight point on Tuesday, August 11, 2009

of late...there has been speculations as well as some straight talks on the career of rawalpindi express...

while imran khan wants him to be given another chance...his discovery...wasim akram was more forthcoming and declared that akhtar's international career is over...

but the final nail on shoaib's international career came from newly appointed pakistan's chief selector iqbal qasim...who said...

The door is not closed on Shoaib Akhtar, he can still play cricket for Pakistan in future. However what he needs to do is to prove his fitness in coming domestic games.

do i need to say more...? look...even shoaib is not amused...

When Shoaib and PCB are involved you can never say never.:)

straight point said...

yes...OTT...

but do you really fancy him bowling in some inconsequential games to prove his fitness when even international cricket fail to inspire him...? :)

Shoaib never played that type of cricket what he was capable of.If he would have concentrated on his cricket rather than doing nonsence then it would have helped him to come out to be better cricketer for Pakistan.

Let us take his last controversy when he was accused of beating his drugmate Aasif with bat. Then Sahid Afridi exaggerated the matter and short tempered Shoaib could not control himself to fight.

yes vikas...

if only he spent his bubbling energy in right direction but tho you can have talent but its temperament and attitude who takes you far in international level...

in some ways even pcb should be blamed for pampering him out of way...making him feel that he is above team...

...and before i forget welcome vikas at sp...thanks for the comment...

Actually PCB pampered him because they don't wanted to loose him but it had reached maximum.

I'm sure Shoaib is just one PCB regime away from his comeback.

it can happen in all probability... provided they too don't ask him to prove his fitness in domestic games... ;-)
