if zaheer khan... why not sreesanth...

...too can reinvent himself... and make a comeback as strong... focused bowler for his own good...?

that sreesanth is a good bowler and has talent to go far in international cricket is the fact not many can dispute...

its also not hidden fact that he is not liked by even his own colleagues...his temperament and over the top antics has been his biggest enemies...

that slap-gate didn't helped his matter too and became the cause of his falling out of favor...and eventually the reason of his prolonged ouster from the team india... coz despite being the victim of harbhajan's wrath... it somehow convinced team think tank that's its better to leave him alone...

then came the god send chance knocking at his door... to play for the warwickshire county for the rest of the season...

recently...on being asked about sreesanth move to join county...this is what zaheer said...

He's made a very wise move. He's a good bowler but has had injuries and issues. The best part about county cricket is you get to play non-stop and you're doing stuff absolutely on your own. You are not in a familiar environment. That forces you to think much more. If you are serious, it improves your game.

may be this was the 'dressing down' sree needed at this stage of his career...

left to fend himself...far away from alluring media spotlight...suddenly living a normal life simply as one of the many players over there...after used to of being chased in public...it can clear lots of clutter in your mind and then you are forced to think things which you would have not thought of in normal course...like zaheer experienced himself...

before zaheer joined county cricket to resurrect his sinking career...he too faced almost similar uneasy questions...on his bowling...on his attitude towards game and team...but how he used county stint to reinvent himself...to come out as better bowler is very well documented...

so if zaheer can...why not sreesanth too...?

now that sreesanth will play for warwickshire for the rest of season...i hope and wish that he will use this as an opportunity to stake his claim not only with irresistible performances but also with fresh attitude towards game...

india require him at the top of his game...specially with injury of zaheer the indian pace cupboard is looking thin and bare...with not many fast bowlers knocking team india's door with conviction...

also for the fact that i strongly feel...sreesanth along with ishant and zaheer can make cricketing equivalent of 'bermuda triangle' in which lots of teams will sink without a trace...

Sreesunth is on his way to be the next tinu yohnan but if he will control his anger and become more serious about cricketing issues then he can make a good come back in national team.

I like Sree in spite of himself. I like him even more because he got a raw deal. Then I liked him less when he bowled crap and got smashed in the IPL.

Tough luck, MSD doesn't give a damn about him. Don't think he'll make it here. Just doesn't belong.

And when I read Zaks' comment, read closer, he says "issues".

Nobody ever talks issues with Bhajji. He belongs. Damn it, he owns the place.

i kinda hate the guy, because of the very issues that are famous.
but hey, the lad can bowl well.
hope he does well and the british tape his mouth or something when they send him back.
all for his own good

It's all in his kinky minds. Hope he untangles himself under Allan Donald at Warwickshire.

yes NC...i too like him in spite of his antics and i think cricket desperately needs more characters like him to bring in crowd...apart from the fantastic bowler he is...

i also beleive dhoni is not that dumb that once sree start bowling the way he can won't bring him to fold...he will have to...

prafs as far as he can bowl the way he bowled in south africa i am ready to give him space...as i said cricket do need characters like him...he just have to learn when to take the foot off pedal...

ah...throught me writing the post i knew i was missing one angle...and it was, thanks to you, donald...

yes som i dont see it as mere coincidence that he will be working under donald...he will not only give him tips how to become lethal bowler like him but also as i said...when to take foot off pedal when things are not going your way...

i can see stars in sky falling in line for sree only if he too realise this... :)

bery good stuff...

but then there is huge difference between Zaheer and Appam.

Attitude.

Zaheer has an attitude to excel and Sreesanth has attitude in every thing.

be it slap gate, be it the late night party or be it handling fame. he is another vinod kambli in making if he doesnt mend his ways.

m not sure how good he would be when he comes back, but yes this space away from limelight wud help him a great deal...........
