WADA tera vaada...

In the end we are human and we do not have to feel like criminals just because we do sport.

this is what rafael nadal said in response to wada's latest rule which says that all sports persons must tell where they will be for one hour each day...for next three months...so that they can be subjected to out of competition testing...if needed...

and we agree with nadal...wholeheartedly...

just bcoz some players do drugs and cheat...they have no business to treat each player as criminal in the line of 'you are guilty till proven innocent'...leave alone the calls on right to privacy...and all this coz they play the game they love...?

whats more if the player is not at the location at the time specified he will have a 'strike' recorded against his name...and three such 'strikes'...the player could face a two year suspension from the game...

no wonder players are upset...specially indian players who have set their mobile ring-tones to kishore kumar's old classic song...in protest...

*WADA tera vaada... vaade pay tere maara gaya... banda main seedha saada... WADA tera vaada...

jokes apart...in order to curb the menace wada has definitely over stepped the front foot crease this time...and if they think the players are unnecessarily raising doubts...why not they follow the same rule they are imposing on players...?

so to end this the impasse...we suggest that wada should make it more transparent and instruct his drug testing officials to fill the same form and declare their whereabouts for one hour each day for next three months so that player can approach nearest official based on the location for 'out of competition testing'...if needed that is...

...and if the official is not present at the specified location on three counts he too should face similar two year suspension from the job...

may be then you can bring players to sing...

yeh WADA raha...

*wada in hindi means promise...

SP, can you get hold of the unamended WADA recommendations?

I cannot seem to.

The clauses which are troubling are part of the amended recommendations, if I have understood the "game" correctly.

FICA meanwhile, (Presided by Jimmy Adams of WIPA-WIPMACOL etc fame) is playing politricks with the situation, perhaps because it is India.

nope sb!

they all are playing it up a bit...when cricketers specialy indian cricketers are on road almost throughout year they deserve some space when free...its as simple as that...apart from possible security breach...

but instead of addressing the genuine concerns they are using this opportunity to score some brownie points over each other...
