well done pakistan...but south africa didn't choke...

yes...i don't think saffers choked yesterday...

they were thoroughly outplayed...outclassed...by a team who was more desperate for a win...

saying they choked will be like insulting the team pak's magnificent effort...don't get confused by their defeat margin of 7 runs...for to get choked they should have been in a winning position...but the reality is that they never looked like winning it...at any stage of their innings...

so...then how come south africa have choked...?

as for pak...i can only do this thing...

take a bow!!

virtually out of cricket map...anything worse that could have happen...happened to them...but they took everything in stride and kept it going...

like the current pepsi campaign..."i can't hear you..."

sometimes art of not listening... ignorance to what's happening around you...is the bliss...and pak has shown just that...under the able leadership of younis khan...who i have been saying for quite a while...is the best bet pak has right now...

he takes the game it is...just a game...thereby he don't let his team feel the pressure...sometimes younis demeanor...his endeavors on and off field are misinterpreted as if he is taking things lightly...but he surely knows the job...and how to extract best performances from his players...they are just enjoying themselves out there...afridi's contribution in last game is the case in point...

team pak...you are already a winner for me...

but yeh dil maange more...give me just one more game...am i asking too much...? ;-)

That's an interesting take SP. Or maybe they choked for the whole damn game, but yeah, they were outplayed, and looked like a really ordinary team, at least while chasing - if not for that freebee 14 run over, the margin would've much more.

exactly nc...

its just that whenever they lose they are branded chokers... irrespective of how the match was played...

Ur right SP, it probably wasn't a choke.

We were all pleasantly surprised by Pakistan's performance.

I told someone else the other day, that the best part about this for Pakistan is that most of the Indian fans are behind us.. just like we were behind the Indians in 2003.

Yeh dil definitely maange more!

Maybe it is time to come up with a better word for choke, like how in the US, the ref to janitor has been replaced with maintenance engineer!

LOL... I love the saffer choke and it is here to stay!

Now they will hire another psychologist to beef the team. Maybe an hypnotist too. That major trophy eludes them.

scorpy...are you being sarcastic... where did they had chance against pak jaggernaut...?

the only thing they didn't do is to be bit flexible in batting order...but didn't they crush everything with the same approach...which made them reach semifinals...?

I am actually :)

It is the best Saffer team I have ever seen. Those 2 spinners have completed the only missing element... variety and a really potent spin attack.

I wish they go into test matches with these 2 spinners instead of Harris.

indeed scorpy...they are looking like team to beat (even after the loss) but i would like to see their spinners getting wickets when batsmen are not pressurised to score...then only i will form my opinion... :)
