let him go...

shared by straight point on Wednesday, May 20, 2009

tho i doubt dada is relishing playing there...we as fans should enjoy and savour the moment...

as today is the last time...we all will see ganguly performing in a competitive setup...in all its probability...

kolkota knight riders are never gonna be the same...the way things has gone for them...one can see lots of changes in next season...and i am afraid dada won't be part of them...

before the weight of 'icon' sink him further...let him rest in the comfort of his own...

kolkata...let your beloved icon go...let dada go...

your prediction seems to be correct.
his performance is absolutely below much much much expectation..he deserves farewell now..

on the contrary, if IPL3 is in India, he'll be back. Just for the Eden games, who knows. Public memory is short, and the 3 year contract way too long.

It is time Dada went riding into the sunset.

thanks kinka...its not prediction...its request to his (kolkata) fans to let him go...

srk don't have the guts to kick him out or this 'drama' wont have happened...but i agree phoren coaching brigade needs to be kicked phoren (in hindi 'phoren' means fast) :)

nc...just like 3 years contract is way too long...one year gap is also that...after watching the fitness level of dada not even he can guaranty himself...but yes if next ipl is in india...then you might see him playing 'mentor' role...

but wait a minute what will other dada of kolkota (waugh) will do then...? ;-)

He is not going anywhere he will feature in next years Ipl also.

welcome back wasim bhai...

featuring and playing in IPL is different ball game altogether... ;-))

He will Play SP until his contract expires. Last year people were criticizing Rahul and were demanding him to retire the year before we were demanding same thing from Sachin but both of them returned to form,I think he will play next year.

to be blunt wasim...

dravid and sachin have had talent to back themselves...now if you see sg he cant even score left...right... square...and why he would want to put himself to such agony again...

his fitness is nowhere close to dravid or for that matter even sachin...and the way T20 evolving by every game...and knowing that what a year gap can do to you when you are not even on national team fray...i think we can safely say goodbye to him...

tho stranger things have happened...not always for right reasons... :)

SP

Class and talent are always permanent only form is temporary.

Wasim said...

Besides there are so many B grade and C grade players playing in IPL it won't make much of a difference if an out of form Icon plays another season he has already retired from test cricket.

straight point said...

there is stark difference between being out of form and being in-capable of scoring at the pace required for T20...

according to me dada falls in later category...

so while talent and class will be there...you need aptitude and body to carry it off which is clearly missing....

not to talk about running between wickets and him being liability on field two another most important aspect of t20 game...and another gap of one year is not going to make him younger...
