we are sorry...

shared by straight point on Sunday, March 22, 2009

so ipl is moved out of india...bcci seems to have apologised to the nation...

here at SP we produce the full text of bcci apology...

we are sorry to security forces that we won't be stretching them to the last of their limits...

we are sorry to players that now they won't feel suffocated moving in and out of 'bullet proof' cages...can breath easy...

we are sorry to people that they won't have to fight a battle to come to fortress (read ground)...

feeling adding more 'sorry'...? express yourself...

What I don't understand is that why did they not consider holding the first half elsewhere and the second half post elections in India?

rs...moving whole setup from one country to another would have come in the way of this idea...

I am not sure --- I think the TV folks would have the hardest time with a move between countries. Why not think like there are 2 series? It is almost 2 months long, easily the first 20 days elsewhere and then after the May 1st week in India (except for the break during counting). Or even the last 15 days...

BTW, I agree with all your "sorries" :)

exactly rs...i meant from producers POVs...

but breaking it into two series is not a bad idea...i must say... :)

hm... Lalit Modi has again bowled a googly saying Indian fans can still watch it at 4 pm and 8 pm as if the matches were played in India. Utter nonsense. What will be time if the matches were played in England or South Africa? Will there be any crowd at the venue? Or we just bothered about the Television audience?

This man has to be kicked out of the game fast.

This small event (although it is not so small) we are unable to organise due to security reasons, how can we think of organising bigger events? unpardonable decision by the authorities......

I love the game more than modi-manohars do but I was aghast by the tone of the IPL wallahs. I mean they sounded as if the Lok Sabha election was something less relevant and hence can be put in the backburner. Come on, a country's future hinges on it! These are the occasions when we need someone to jolt us out of our illusion and tell that cricket is just a game after all.
