bcci has decided that since himesh marshal who is linked with icl will also be playing in the same match...so sachin and dinesh karthik won't be turning up for master's t20 match...
the stance of bcci viz a viz icl is clear...they have already declared icl as an unofficial league and their policy of not letting their players to play with the teams who have players with icl link is well known either...
earlier they did not let laxman to appear for nottinghamshire for the same reason...
they have always been non-negotiable...they have been clear...and they have been consistent about it...
so what the fuss is all about this time...
just coz the sachin was playing they should relax the stance...?
or the fuss is about how the bcci known for fickle ways has been firm and consistent...?
why?
as usual...a telling statement on 'fussers' from friend soulberry here @ SP...
The fussers are becoming a bit too fussy.
Sachin is in NZ in an official capacity..as is DK...it was a consistent stand by BCCI.
It is time alternative boards were raised in each of the fusser countries and their boards split and later encouraged to patch up...maybe it will teach them a thing or two about fussing.
well said SB!

I think the fuss this time is cos it was just an exhibition match SP.. Its understandable that the BCCI does this for official teams like Nottinghamshire and other counties, etc.. but an exhibition match? a bit too much no?
Q...
whenever any organisation, corporate or sport body forms a policy it should and must be implemented uniformly irrespective of situation...
lets say if a player takes drug in an unofficial match will he be pardoned just coz it was just an exhibition match?

i think in the hide of BCCI the fussers are using these instance just an excuse...to vent their suppressed grudges...
No one would be tested for drugs in an exhibition match SP because it is just that - an exhibition match.
The Master's game involved a host of retired players.. I reckon no one would have even noticed that an ICL player was involved had the BCCI not brought it up..
Nevertheless, I fail to understand the BCCI's policies.. they discriminate between the players and officials (commentators, coaches, etc).. while they're at it they might as well not allow India to play against Australia because Tony Greig does commentary on those matches..
There's no fussing or grudges here SP and SB.. the BCCI have been consistent in trying to dig huge grave for the ICL, and I have been consistently against them..
Q...
why set precedent even for an exhibition match...? tell me one good reason...
and dont say just coz it was an exhibition match...
as i have said if any organisation forms a policy than it MUST be implemented uniformly, consistently and non-negotiably IRRESPECTIVE of situation...otherwise not point having that policy...
as SB said...SRT and DS have not gone there on picnic, they are on official tour...their conduct over there directly reflects upon BCCI and its image...this itself is reason enough for the stand BCCI has taken...
