after spending quite a few time in nervous nineties...got stuck in the crease...refused the temptation of crossing for a single for a while on ninety nine...but ultimately couldn't resist the temptation...
so here i am with a 100th post at Straight Points...and new look...
i hooked on to blogging by reading finest cricket blogs and started commenting on few of them...i used to marvel at in depth analysis...insight of article...the way they presented the thoughts...the argument...the command over language...medium...everything...
it was enlightening for me...
here was a world thriving on its own and i couldn't believe how ignorant i was...of its existence...
in no time it became more than pass time and i used to wait for the posts of blogs...started commenting on them and used to refresh the page impatiently to know what blogger has commented on return...
slowly i started to think how it would be if i have my own blog...but i had my own doubts...which are well documented here
while on one side the desire of having my own blog was refusing to go down...on another side were my inhibitions...
will some one pay visit...?
will i make myself laughing stock...?
and more importantly will i survive...?
that's why...though i created this blog on october 20th 2007...it took me almost a month to come up with my first real post...but after seeing encouraging comments from Homer's, Ottayan's and SoulBerry's on my welcome post i decided to take plunge...
i can not thank these three gentlemen enough who gave me the inspiration as well as encouragement...at the right time...
thanks again friends...even you don't know what you have done to me...
(now you know whom to blame for pestering you with one after another post)
in the journey i have made many friends...and i am sure that i will make many more...
and how can i forget to not mention BCCI (Bored Cricket Crazy Indians)...a place where i have seen and shared so much of cricketing nostalgia than ever...
thanks naked cricket for inventing this platform and for the inspirational idea...
once again...heartfelt, humble and sincere thanks to all of you who take moments out of your busy life to visit and comment here at Straight Points...and hope that you will continue to do so...
for my survival...
a humble century...

A rollicking century SP.. very much in the Sehwag mould... plenty of thrilling moments, lots of pizazz and never a dull moment..
Now for that double century ( remember that the strike rate has to increase the longer you spend time at the crease :) )
Cheers,
Congratulations.
congratulations!!
i kept nodding in agreement when you said there was this world existing on the net, and that i, like you, had been ignorant about it..
and yeah, everyone here, esp the ones at BCCI and UJ have been very encouraging, i know that through experience..
your blog has been one of those inspirations and i have always looked up to you.

Pan, here's looking at Straight Points!
- The mast Indianess, the bindaas ease of thought, the use of Hinglish and love for soul cricket.

What you've achieved in so short a duration, is a testimony to your acumen.Hundred posts is not a small achievement. That too very addictive.
I can't say of others; but I've been reading your blog with the erudition of a student.
It's true,Blogging , is a stress buster and a cause of stress, at the same time. Irony !
Some posts have deeply itched in my mind: the fab-four one and the one titled Vir-Gati.Talking of the latter post, I was surprised by your word play with the post title.
Keep blogging bro, I'll keep on following your blog.
