inspired by well pitched and nothing much to post to...i decided its time to change...
so here's the new look...
meanwhile cricket keep on going in auto pilot mode...
west indies true to their life style legacy remain casual as ever...sometimes i feel us fan care more for them...and certain stanford will ensure they remain the same....
uncaring...casual...unapologetic...
pakistan continues to play without 'leader' and now without bowlers too...
england finding some excitement...by 'blocking' a run out...new zealand by not shaking hands...
only smith seems excited at the prospect of meeting his old buddy KP at the toss...
KP, meanwhile is trying hard to liven the things up by giving his trademark sound bits to media...
and i...yours truly, like you, is waiting for some real action....

'Challanged' Umpires or...

from india-srilanka series umpires decisions will be challenged...not once but thrice!!
hmmm....
another bad news for 'dominating' australia...
why?
they will have to play with only 11 players from now on...
P.S. : Breaking news
players have proposed that ICC should declare those test matches 'unlimited' in which buckner will be officiating...last heard...ICC is seriously considering their proposal coz they just cannot drop buckner from elite panel...

Caught in a Wrong Job?

if ever there was proof required...yesterday's match sealed the case for me...
i am certain now that shoaib is pathetically regressive captain at his best...
teams have and will score 330 against you but the way he led his team...left only one desire...
PCB should get rid of him ASAP...

though not to the scale of cricket=action=art...cricketUA has this uncanny habit of seeing and bringing humorous angle in whats happening around world of cricket...with his brand of images, cartoons and some times illustrations...
its amazing how much effort some put for the love of sport...cricket... i.e.

the dominance of australia is well and truly over...
what? don’t believe me?
hope you are following (if not watching) what’s happening in west indies…
first they came close to winning…
and now they have drawn a match...
with only two batsmen performing…
yes you read it right TWO BATSMEN...
...of a team which is ranked 8...
still don’t believe it?
PS: nana patekar would have sung...do machchar poori team ko....
Warne...you beauty !!

when asked how you feel playing under warne...kamran akmal's prompt reply summed up everthing for me...
'itnaa bada khiladi hai ke achcha perform karney ka mann karta hai...'
(loosely translated - he is such a great player that you really want to perform well for him)
warne showed to world...what we were missing when he could not captain australia...
he won by playing what really can be called 'hard and fair"...
there was no chest thumping...no 'worked up' aggression...no disrespect to opposition...and still he won...and how...
this is the biggest lesson for all these newbies and some seniors too...who think that aggression is showing histrionics on field....swearing at opponent with choicest explicits.....
yes sir, you can still win matches...and we are not talking about 50's cricket here mr punter...
i hope the message is clearly conveyed...to one and all...
